A tough and easy to grow, 2 ft. tall annual that blooms all summer and fall. The large white 3-4 in. flowers are creamy white with black and bronze markings in the center. They are superb for cutting. Packet is ½ gram, about 500 seeds.
Growing White Cape Daisy Seeds
Plant Cape Daisy Seeds: Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and lightly cover. Kept at 70° F., germination is in 14-21 days. Can be direct sown into prepared seed beds after all danger of frost, 3 in. apart. Thin to 1 ft. apart.
Grow Cape Daisy: Full sun, moderate to average water. Plants prefer fertile, well-drained soil. Tolerates heat, will take some drought once established. Flowers are excellent for cutting, and will attract bees, butterflies and birds. Cutting seed heads leads to maximum bloom. Consider leaving a few seedheads for the birds to eat, especially late in the season. Easy to grow, low maintenance plants.
