Celosia argentea cristata
Also known as cockscomb, Crystal Beauty celosia has crested, fan-shaped, 2-4 in. flowers in warm peachy-bronze shades, with hints of copper and pink champagne. Narrow, vase-shaped plants grow 3-4 ft. tall, with multiple upward-growing branches, blooming in summer and fall. Crystal Beauty celosia is a superb cut flower, fresh or dried.
Growing Crystal Beauty Celosia Seeds
Sow celosia seeds in cell packs or small pots, use a sterilized soil-less mix, cover the seeds lightly. Kept at 70-75°F., germination is in 7-14 days. Provide seedlings with at least 14 hours of light per day. Celosia seedlings are delicate - carefully transplant 12 in. apart. Do not let seedlings become root-bound.
