Cuphea ramosissima
Fan-shaped, small pink and white flowers bloom in continuous profusion from early spring through summer. Heat tolerant, well-branched plants create 10-16 in. tall and 12-18 in. wide mounds. Pink Shimmer cupheas are great additions to mixed containers, and also make nice low borders.
Growing Pink Shimmer Cuphea Seeds
Sow cuphea seed in cell packs or flats using a sterile seed starting mix. Press seeds gently into soil, but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-75°F., germination averages 7 to 14 days. Transplant seedings into the garden 12 in. apart after all danger of frost.
