Whisper Mixed nicotiana is a mix of deep-pink, appleblossom, and rose colored flowers. Blooms appear by the hundreds, are loved by hummingbirds and provide pleasing evening fragrance. Disease resistant plants grow 3 to 4 ft. or more tall. A top performer in the Colorado State University Flower Trial Garden.
Whisper Mixed nicotiana is a Swallowtail Garden Seeds favorite. Last spring, Whisper Mixed was one of the first annuals to flower in the test garden. Plants continued to bloom heavily well into December and were by then, the last annuals flowering. Self seeds in the immediate area of the mother plant which we appreciate.
Growing Whisper Mixed Nicotiana Seeds
Plant Nicotiana Seeds: Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil, but do not cover. Kept at 75° F., germination is in 10-20 days. Transplant into the garden 12-18 in. apart, after all danger of frost.
Grow Nicotiana: Full or part sun. Fertile, moist soil. Tolerates heat and humidity. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and spectacular moths. Deer and rabbit resistant. Fragrant flowers.
