Mojave Red and White Bicolor
Salvia Seeds
The striking contrast of creamy greenish white bracts and bright scarlet red flowers will attract attention of garden visitors, humans and pollinators alike. Hot, humid summers are not a problem for Mojave Red and White Bicolor salvias - they bloom early, in less than 3 months from seed, and keep producing dense, showy two-tone flower spikes all summer on dwarf, 8-12 in., well-branched plants. Grow massed in garden beds, in sunny containers, or along pathways.
Growing Mojave Red and White Bicolor Salvia Seeds
Sow salvia seeds in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 75°F., germination is in 14-21 days. Transplant seedlings into the garden 12-18 in. apart.
