Strawflower Seeds
Double white flowers with yellow centers. White Choice Double strawflower produces loads of vibrant 2-3 in. papery pompom-like flowers on well-branched, heavy-blooming 3-3½ ft. tall, heat and drought tolerant plants.
Strawflowers attract butterflies and are superb cut flowers. Known as 'everlastings' because the flowers will last indefinitely when dried. White Choice Double strawflower remains in bloom over a long season. Packet is 1 gram, about 1,200 seeds.
Growing White Choice Double Strawflower Seeds
Sow your strawflower seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-75°F., germination is in 10-20 days. Transplant seedlings early, do not allow them to become pot bound. You can direct sow strawflower seeds into prepared seed beds after all danger of frost. Thin seedlings to 12 in. apart.
