Dwarf Sunflower Seeds
A feisty little 1 to 2 ft. dwarf sunflower is early to bloom and perfect for containers or low summer hedges. Pollen-free flowers are the colors of a tiger’s fur: orange and reddish brown, with dark centers.
In our container garden, growing 3 plants per 5 gallon pot, our Little Tigers grew 14-16 in. tall, and produced more than 25 gorgeous sunflowers.
Growing Little Tiger Sunflower Seeds
Plant Sunflower Seeds: Direct sow into prepared seed beds 3 in. apart, thin to 6-9 in. apart. Easy to start indoors in 2 in. pots or cell packs.
Grow Sunflowers: Sunflowers require full sun. Soil which is moist and moderately fertile will produce the best flower heads. Blooms attract bees, birds and butterflies.
