Dwarf Sunflower Seeds
Bushy, dwarf plants grow 1 to 2 ft. tall. The main flower can grow to nearly 8 inches across. Side shoots produce many more 3-4 in. blooms. Flowering begins early in the season, plants load themselves with up to 12 pollen-free, golden-orange flowers with deep brown faces.
Orange Hobbit sunflowers are a truly outstanding, easy to grow addition for your container garden. Can be grown in pots as small as 4 in. (1-4 flowers will be produced), for full impact and up to one dozen flowers, grow in 3 gallon containers or larger. Orange Hobbit sunflowers can also be used to form stunning knee-high borders. Flower pictured measures 7½ in. across.
Growing Orange Hobbit Sunflower Seeds
Plant Sunflower Seeds: Direct sow into prepared seed beds 3 in. apart, thin to 6-9 in. apart. Easy to start indoors in 2 in. pots or cell packs.
Grow Sunflowers: Sunflowers require full sun. Soil which is moist and moderately fertile will produce the best flower heads. Blooms attract bees, birds and butterflies.
