A fun new mix of frilled, ruffled violas in shades of purple, burgundy and yellow. Frizzle Sizzle Mini Tapestry violas tolerate the cold temperatures of early spring and fall, and flowers show the strongest ruffling in cold weather. Tidy, mounded plants grow 6-8 in. tall and wide. At 1 1/2 in. wide, flowers are smaller than pansies and larger than most violas. Flower stems are long enough for cut flower bouquets. Frizzle Sizzle Mini Tapestry violas are well-suited for planting in patio pots, window boxes, borders, and towards the front of mixed garden beds.
Growing Frizzle Sizzle Mini Tapestry Viola Seeds
Sow in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Needs darkness to germinate. Cover flat with newspaper and keep out of direct sun. Remove newspaper cover and provide direct light as soon as the first seeds begin to sprout. Kept at 65-70°F., germination is in 14-21 days. Transplant into the garden 9-12 in. apart.
