Plants produce huge quantities of large 2 in. wide, quilled double flowers from early spring to early summer. Bloom colors include red, rose, white with red tips, and white. Plants will often self-sow.
Habanera English daisy is an outstanding performer in containers. Also grows nicely at the front of borders or with spring bulbs. Plants prefer regular moisture. In warm climates provide afternoon shade. Perennial in cooler areas, biennial where summers are warm. Winter hardy to zone 3.
Growing Habanera Mix English Daisy Seeds
Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Light will aid germination. Kept at 70°F., germination is in 7-21 days. Transplant into the garden 6 in. apart.
