Aruncus aethusifolius, is a synonym of Aruncus dioicus var. aethusifolius.
Goat's beard produces branched clusters of foamy ivory-colored flowers in late spring and early summer. With ample water goat's beard is a tough, vigorous perennial for borders and woodland gardens. Plants will also thrive at the edge of ponds. Goat's beard prefers full sun in mild summer areas, light shade where summers are hot.
Plants are compact and low growing, to 12 in. tall. Nobel Spirit goat's beard thrives at the edge of flower borders, woodland gardens, or small ponds. Noble Spirit goat's beard is also an excellent, and distinctive container plant. Winter hardy to zone 3.
Growing Noble Spirit Dwarf Goat's Beard Seeds
Sow goat's beard seeds in 2 in. pots or cell packs, press seed into soil, but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 55-65° F., germination usually occurs within 4-5 weeks. If not, put container inside a zip-lock bag with plenty of air. Refrigerate 4 weeks. Return container to 55-65° F. until germination occurs.
