Kirigami
Ornamental Oregano Seeds
Origanum x hybrida
A standout new option for your hanging baskets, Kirigami ornamental oregano has large, showy chartreuse and rosy purple papery bracts surrounding tiny pink flowers. Compact, 8-10 in. plants trail to 12-14 in. Flowers begin in late spring/early summer, and the bract color becomes more pronounced later in the summer as as nights begin to get cooler. Kirigami is not a culinary oregano, yet it has a fresh, spicy fragrance, and attracts bees and other pollinating insects. Add Kirigami's unique texture to fresh or dried flower arrangements, and let it spill over to soften the edges of mixed container plantings. A heat, drought, and humidity-tolerant perennial, winter hardy to zone 5.
