Salvia transsylvanica
A hardy and heavy flowering, first year flowering 3 ft. tall perennial. Will freely produce tremendous spikes of non-fade, sky-blue blooms from June to September. Flowers are excellent for cutting. The widely adapted plants need plenty of sun, and little water once established. Winter hardy to zone 3.
Growing Blue Cloud Salvia Seeds
Sow salvia seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 75°F., germination is in 21-30 days. Transplant salvia seedlings into the garden 18 in. apart, after all danger of frost.
