Fast growing and heavy flowering, 4-6 in. tall plants produce endless, attractive ½ to ¾ in. daisy-like flowers. Blooms open white, then age through darker shades of pink and lilac. Santa Barbara Daisy is a terrific ground cover, or use it in rock gardens, containers or hanging baskets.
Named a "Flameproof Plant" by the Dallas Arboretum, for top performance in extreme heat. Flowers from June to October in Northern climates and almost year round in mild winter areas. Winter hardy to zone 5.
Growing Santa Barbara Daisy Seeds
Sow seeds in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 60°F., germination is in 14-30 days. Transplant into the garden after all danger of frost 12-24 in. apart.
