Free flowering mix of violet, red, pink and white flowers on easy to grow 3 ft. tall plants. They look terrific in mixed borders, bloom from late spring until frost. Often self-sows where happy. Tolerates more shade than most other Verbascum. A true perennial. Winter hardy to zone 5.
Growing Katie's Candles Mix Verbascum Seeds
Plant Verbascum Seeds: Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil, do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 65-70° F., germination is in 14-30 days. Transplant 1½ ft. apart.
Grow Verbascum: Full sun, Katie's Candles Mix prefers afternoon shade in warm climates. Any soil with excellent drainage. Tolerates drought, better bloom with moderate to average water. Flowers are excellent for cutting, attract bees and butterflies. Remove old flowers for bloom over remarkably long season. Rabbit and deer resistant.
