Southern Charm has an especially refined form, producing an abundance of 1 in., five-petaled, circular flowers on tall spikes. Grows to 2-3 feet tall. Blooms in a warm pastel blend of creamy yellow, soft lavender and peachy rose shades. Flowers the first year from seed.
Growing Southern Charm Verbascum Seeds
Plant Verbascum Seeds: Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil, do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 65-70° F., germination is in 14-30 days. Transplant 1½ ft. apart.
Grow Verbascum: Full sun, Katie's Candles Mix prefers afternoon shade in warm climates. Any soil with excellent drainage. Tolerates drought, better bloom with moderate to average water. Flowers are excellent for cutting, attract bees and butterflies. Remove old flowers for bloom over remarkably long season. Rabbit and deer resistant.
