Super Sugar Snap peas are an improved version of the longtime favorite Sugar Snap peas. Vigorous, 5-6 ft. tall vines produce earlier and higher yields of sweet, crunchy, thick-walled 3 in. pods that ripen over a shorter harvest window. Disease resistance is improved for powdery mildew and pea leaf roll virus. Super Sugar Snap peas are delectable when eaten straight off the vine, dipped in your favorite salad dressing, or quickly stir-fried.
Growing Super Sugar Snap Snap Pea Seeds
Plant Pea Seeds: Sow seed 1 in. apart and 1 in. deep in rows 12-18 in. apart. Do not thin. At 50-75°F, germination is in 1-2 weeks.
Grow Peas: Peas love cool humid weather and should be planted as early in the spring as the soil can be worked. Where winters are mild sow from October to February for early spring production that will beat the heat.
