Asarina Seeds
Heavy blooming, 6 ft. tall vines produce richly colored, 1.5-2 in. violet flowers with white throats. Bloom begins midsummer and continues until frost. Train the vines on a trellis or allow plants to trail from hanging baskets for close-up color. Perennial in zones 9 and 10, Violet asarina can be grown as an annual everywhere.
Growing Violet Asarina Seeds
Start indoors 10-12 weeks before the last frost. Sow in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-75°F., germination is in 14-21 days. When seedlings have several sets of true leaves, transplant into individual containers.
