Pansy Seeds
Cats Mix pansies have no dark blotches, just plenty of fine, whisker-like vein patterns.Some are monochromatic, and some are bicolors with lighter faces.There are five colors in the Cats Mix: orange, white, yellow, and two bicolors: red and gold, and purple and white.Mounding, 5 in. plants can be sown in late winter for spring bloom or in the late summer for fall bloom or overwintering in mild-winter climates.
Growing Cats Mix Pansy Seeds
Sow pansy seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Needs darkness to germinate. Cover flat with newspaper and keep out of direct sun. Remove newspaper cover and provide direct light as soon as the first seeds begin to sprout. Kept at 65-70°F., germination is in 14-21 days. Transplant into the garden 9-12 in. apart.
