Flowers are 1 1/2 in. in diameter in shades of warm burnt orange, dusky rose, and peach.
Nature Antique Shades pansies are hybridized with violas, resulting in compact, heat and cold tolerant, heavy-flowering 6-10 in. plants. Flowers are larger than violas, a little smaller than most pansies, and bloom profusely in spring and fall. Nature Antique Shades pansies add elegance to patio pots, window boxes, and pathway edges.
Growing Nature Antique Shades Pansy Seeds
Sow pansy seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Needs darkness to germinate. Cover flat with newspaper and keep out of direct sun. Remove newspaper cover and provide direct light as soon as the first seeds begin to sprout. Kept at 65-70°F., germination is in 14-21 days. Transplant into the garden 9-12 in. apart.
